Amy's Creative Side | Bloggers' Quilt Festival

It's that time of the year again, stop over at Amy's Creative Side (click logo)  and see all the wonderful quilts. The Quilt Ladies are a sponsor this year, so make sure to sign up for that too.  I'm doing a bit larger Quilt Show Saturday this week !

The Quilt Ladies Book Collection is a story that follows five friends through The Quilt Ladies 12 books and ebooks.   Each book continues the story and has the pattern/instructions for the quilt the Ladies are making in that book.

I wrote the stories first, designed the quilts and made them all.

Book One "Mary Alice and Emily Brown"

When the books went off to the book designer a few years ago, the quilt design ready for print.

This is "Square Star"  done in a manageable size to take with me.

Being self-published and a solo-business has opened up a whole new way for a quilt book to be presented. You purchase the books and have the patterns all at the same time. No waiting for the pattern release, months or years later.

Book Seven - "Love at Any Age"

  1. I love the spiral in Love at any Age. Interesting marketing concept you have going on.

  2. Great quilt and what a clever person you are! Think I need to be on your list. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

  3. The design in your star looks great. Love the colours you have used. It was interesting to read about your planning and marketing. Good luck!

  4. Very clever and good for you! I am not sure the books will be to my reading preference but I'm going to learn a little bit more about them and maybe give one a chance so thanks for highlighting them here along with the pretty quilt.

  5. Seeing the quilt from the drawing into the quilt is fun!

  6. Your quilts are very pretty- thanks for sharing

  7. Love the square star, stars almost always look great in patriotic colors. Kudos.
Come see my entries #211, repro cheddar orange stars and #215 antique 1850 applique flower garden

  8. How fun!! I have honestly never read a book about quilting like this, I may have to check it out. And to be able to make the actual quilt as well? very cool.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know what you are thinking and for being KIND.
