I love Chairs,
I can't help it.... I do !
I've just come to a point, it's just fine

This is my Goodwill purchase, $10.00. I wish you could have seen Husbands face when I said, "Will you carry this out to the car?" Priceless
It had these wings on the sides
Not very tall off the ground, love that !
Not hard to get the wings off, filled and sanded everything.
Leg before
Leg After
Just a note
And NO, I didn't paint it,
but wait til you see it with the new cushions,
it would have been
wonderful PINK !
I was thinking I'd have to get all new foam for the cushions, but I've had them laying in the HOT sun for a couple of days and they are going to be just fine.
Went to the fabric store and here's what I'm going with, let the measuring, cutting and sewing begin !

That is an awesome chair! You did a great job so far! Will love to see it when it is done!
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen,
ReplyDeleteI sanded, sanded and sanded. The stain went on very well, it was the drying time. I work in our garage, it was dry to the touch, then moved the chair to our entry hall and just let it sit and set the stain. Just let it get really dry.
I started this project about June 5th. Just finished the cushions last week.
Project was not hard, just lots of time, both drying and sewing.
What a beautiful job on that chair.
ReplyDeleteEnvy is a sin, so I will just say, I'm impressed.
