October Block of the MONTH

Putting the Quilt Top Together
Each block will be on for one month, I'll post the same pattern 2 different times each month.   And for those of you who can’t wait the entire year,

Finished quilt measures 78” x 92”
8- 16” x 16” Blocks and 1 Center Block– 18” x 18”
This quilt is NOT complicated, take each step one at a time and have fun !

Adding the Borders


Border for Center Block
Cut 12 Red – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Cut 4 Green – 4 ½” x 2 ½”
Sew together 2 of each block


Cut 4 Blue – 4 ½” x 16 ½” Sew to flowers as shown
Cut 8 Green – 2 ½” x 4 ½”
 Sew as shown






Sew Center of quilt together






Lay your colors out, make sure you like color placement before sewing

I lay my blocks out on our bed, move them around, like the placement, you need not follow any pattern, there is no right placement only yours.  



Cut 8 Blue – 16 ½” x 6 ½”
Sew Row down as shown


My left side of quilt top

Sew Rows together
Left to center

Right to Center

Add outside borders

Cut 2 Blue – 4 ½” x 60 ½” Sew to the sides

Cut 1 Blue – 4 ½” x 68 ½” Sew to the bottom




More pieced borders will be added in November !
