Center Square - How to Quilt Part Four with The Quilt Ladies

4) - Center Square

Cut your Squares and then into triangles as stated in the pattern.
Sew on the top triangle, Trim the ends even.
Sew on the bottom Triangle, Trim the ends.
Note: sewing the pieces across make the square lay flat, as does trimming the ends.
Sew on the side triangles.
Trim the block make sure to leave the 1/4” seam allowance. Press

  1. I think your cutting chart has a mistake. When the block Size is 3 I cant cut 2 7/8??? Ohr how I have to read the chart??

  2. The chart is right, you cut the center block 2 5/8" and then the triangles 2 7/8" cut corner to corner, trim block to 3 1/2" making a finished block of 3" x 3"
