I'm breaking a quilt block down and showing you how a quilt pattern which looks difficult is done. Some of them may look hard, but give them a chance, you can do it. ! All different sizes and here I go !


This is a quilt block which I would do all the piecing first.
Cut the parts

Make the parts, triangles, lay them out and then piece the block together.


Finished Block

Cut 6 Yellow - 2 ½” x 1 ½”
Cut 6 Yellow – 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 8 Yellow – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 8 White - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 2 Yellow - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 2 Purple - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 2 Yellow - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 2 Orange - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 6 Orange - 2 ½” x 1 ½”
Cut 6 Orange– 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 8 Orange – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 8 White - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 2 Orange - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 2 Purple - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 4 Purple- 2 ½” x 1 ½”
Cut 4 Purple – 1 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 4 Purple – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut 4 White - 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles

Cut 20 White – 1 ½” x 1 ½”
Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 3 ½”

Breaking the block down

Cut and make all the triangles first

Block Center - do 2 yellow and 2 orange


Sew together to form center of the block

Piecing the sides of the center
Do 2 orange and 2 yellow

Add the sides to the center unit
Making the top and bottom row

Sew the top and bottom to the center unit

Finished pieced block
