From Treadle Sewing Machine to Table

I've had this Treadle machine for years and years, it was a Great-Aunts

It had been used as everything but a sewing machine,
from plant stand to desk.

We had moved it to the garage to sale in our sale in April, but after looking at for a day, asked Husband if you could take it apart and we'd move the base.

A bit of time and it was apart.

I decide I just wanted the base and the four drawers which were on the sides.

I finally had some time and the painted started,
Husband cut me a piece of wood for the top.

White base top, my flowers and then about 4 coats of poly.

The drawers with white paint inside, they fit perfect.

My  treadle base table !

  1. Oh, Beth! What a great idea! It turned out beautifully!!

Someone gave me a treadle base table. I have it in my living room in front of my window. I have decided to make it my holiday table. I am going to make different table toppers to go with the season and put small decorative items on the table for that holiday. I don't decorate my whole house for the seasons like some do. It's too overwhelming. This is small and manageable. =)
