Blue and White Quilt with Hand Quilting
Pulling out quilts this morning and here's one of my favorites. I've been working on putting a new website together and book, this will probably be the cover shot...used in some way. I will get it all put together and share soon.
I've learned through the years that the way to a Quilter's heart is through hand quilting. This is my, "I can talk the talk, quilt the quilt," quilt. HA !
I've seen grown woman, sigh, giggle and try to hold their fingers back from touching this quilt. I cannot tell you the joy is brings me.
It started out as a baby quilt, but it has been put to work as my opening for most speaking.
I can HAND quilt the quilt ! !

Picking fabric for a quilt from a photograph
This may seem a bit strange, but I love the colors in this dress and it's how I picked the colors for my this quilt. This post is from over three years ago and it has gone crazy on pinterest, if you would like to follow my boards HERE

Can you see it?
The purples, the pink/red sleeve, the green top
And a White added for the white Chair !
The only color that just didn't work for me was the black belt and I couldn't find anything I liked, so I just left it off.
Here's a look at one of the 16 blocks !
It worked !

Adding MY Painted Flowers to Doorway Glass
I have redone the glass at our front door. A few of the neighbors have put the reflection paper in...
but I couldn't just do that !
Here's what I've been working on, making home mine.
Off to Lowes (not a paid mention) measurements in hand. Wanted it to be easy to bend in. I needed nine inches, but this was cut eight inches and they cut my 80 inches. Board is just under 1/4" thick.
White Base coat
Folded graph paper and did drawings of flowers and stems, cut out.
Painted
This is why the board had to bend, I didn't want nails, used the plastic nooks so it can be taken up or down as I like. Would like to do more for seasons.
FROM the Outside, How loud do you think the condo association will YELL ? I NEVER mention what I do to them. Just let them notice on their own.
p.s. Would LOVE to paint this side too, but I'm going to wait and see, maybe picking my battles a bit?
