From Pillow Shams to Throw Pillows

I'm always on the look out for anything quilted at Goodwill and I happened
upon these pillow shams

How to take a Pillow Shams and make a Throw Pillows

I washed them in hot water and put them in the dryer.

From Pillow Shams to Throw Pillows

After deciding the size I wanted,

I cut each side, making sure that both pillows would match.

I hand quilted around the white of each pillow and  used the backing from the shams
as the backing of each pillow.

On my couch ready for anything.

Quilt on the Deck at my House

Don't you just love the smell of a quilt which has been in the sun.
The fresh air dried crispness of the cotton.

Weather here is NUTS and I'm LOVING it.
I even put on shorts and sat in the sun yesterday???
It's March and in the 70's in Nebraska.... Don't know, but I like it.

So to celebrate, I'm doing a quilt !
I've been wanting to do a holiday quilt for sometime. I've had the pattern done for quite a bit , I even had the fabric all washed.

I recently purchased small loaf pans and I get three small loaves out of this recipe. I like these better, let them cool, wrap each in foil and put in freezer.

Makes a wonderful addition to any meal. Pull out,  thaw and eat.
