Is a Quilt, just a Quilt ??

Quilts just seem to find me???

I say this to myself all the time, 

"It's just a quilt, it's just a quilt."

But...it's not, it's history, it's a story, it's someone's life. 

This quilt looked just like this as I walking up to it, I asked and unfolded it. It was in pretty bad shape, with the fabric faded on about half of the blocks. But look !

I just about CRIED ! !

This is a display in one of the quilt shops I visited recently.
They took fabric bolts, drilled a hole in the middle of them,
put a dowel rode in and fanned them out. 

WHY????

PLEASE tell me WHY

I've pretty much done NOTHING, but tie quilts for the past week.

I found all the old Downtown Abbey's on Amazon Prime and I've done nothing but tied quilts and listen to television. To say, I want these done is an understatement !
