The block on the right, do two, you will need another next week.

This block is what started 52 weeks of quilt patterns. My first idea was to do a pattern, the same pattern and see how it could be done in say 5 colors. Some time in that process the idea of doing 52 weeks came to me.

52 weeks was hard, fun and huge. But wait until you see 2012. I'm changing things up !

Who me, change things????

Sew blocks into a row

Sew to the top of your quilt.
Looking good !

Triangles in the Corner's Quilt

Looking at this quilt now, "What was I thinking?"

Or, "I had way too much time on my hands !"

I like to trim the seam allowance so when it's quilted it's easier.

Sewing Room Table ReFinished with Paint

Needed just a few touch ups on the table when it was turned over.

Last Week - HERE

Again, days of coats and they had to dry in between.

Table ReFinished with Paint

I like the oil paint to the point that it made a wonderful HARD surface, the drying time, the smell and then the time again was nuts.

What a project, not hard. But, loads for time.   This table sat in our garage just over 2 weeks after finished, the smell was not going into my sewing room. For me, next time, porch and deck paint, LATEX !

Looking at it,  I love it !
But, next time, latex paint for me !

Sewing Room Table Redoing it With Paint

I've been wanting to paint this table for a bit,  I picked it up years ago at an auction in Spirit Lake, IA. And, I know it was only a couple of dollars.

Table Redoing it With Paint

Sewing Room Table Redoing it With Paint

I saw this on one of the decorating shows to use Porch & Floor paint on furniture. So, off to the paint store and had it mixed to pink in "OIL"    Next time.... I'll go with Latex.

Sewing Room Table Redoing it With Paint

It's a drop leaf with only on side that drops.  Which is just great for the size of my sewing room.

Sewing Room Table Redoing it With Paint

Off to the garage and paint, I did deglosser first and then daily coats of the oil paint.

This is the first coat, I did 3 coats, on each side.

A funny thing happened as I'm looking at this row NOW, ! !  The bottom block is upside down??
I'm not changing it now.   This is a good time to do my, "Stop taking quilting so serious talk !"
Please relax and enjoy. My  quilt is not a contest piece, a cover shoot, it's a curl up and take a nap quilt. I know whom ever gets under it will NEVER notice or care that this little pink basket is upside down. And personally, I like it !  I try hard, but I'm NOT ever going to be perfect. !

Sew this on to the right hand side of last weeks.
