The block on the right, do two, you will need another next week.

This block is what started 52 weeks of quilt patterns. My first idea was to do a pattern, the same pattern and see how it could be done in say 5 colors. Some time in that process the idea of doing 52 weeks came to me.

52 weeks was hard, fun and huge. But wait until you see 2012. I'm changing things up !

Who me, change things????

Sew blocks into a row

Sew to the top of your quilt.
Looking good !

If you missed any of the 52 weeks patterns, NOW is the time to get them, when they are gone, they are gone.

Quilts Around My House

Looking at this quilt now, "What was I thinking?"

Or, "I had way too much time on my hands !"

These strip are cut 3/4" wide

Press seams as you go.

I like to trim the seam allowance so when it's quilted it's easier.

Stopped in and saw the new Kindle Fire (Best Buy) , it's wonderful !
The color and picture are GREAT !

Sewing Room Table Finished

Needed just a few touch ups on the table when it was turned over.

Last Week - HERE

Again, days of coats and they had to dry in between.

I like the oil paint to the point that it made a wonderful HARD surface, the drying time, the smell and then the time again was nuts.

What a project, not hard. But, loads for time.   This table sat in our garage just over 2 weeks after finished, the smell was not going into my sewing room. For me, next time, porch and deck paint, LATEX !

Looking at it,  I love it !
But, next time, latex paint for me !

Sewing Room Table Redo !

I've been wanting to paint this table for a bit,  I picked it up years ago at an auction in Spirit Lake, IA. And, I know it was only a couple of dollars.

I saw this on one of the decorating shows to use Porch & Floor paint on furniture. So, off to the paint store and had it mixed to pink in "OIL"    Next time.... I'll go with Latex.

It's a drop leaf with only on side that drops.  Which is just great for the size of my sewing room.

Off to the garage and paint, I did deglosser first and then daily coats of the oil paint.

This is the first coat, I did 3 coats, on each side.
