Our Group Quilt Project

So many of us at my small quilt group get this magazine that we decided on one of the patterns from
Missouri Star Quilt Co. BLOCK Magazine - HERE

Book 4 page 20
Each of us was given the back ground fabric 2 - 10" x 10" and we each added any Batik fabric, any color,  2 - 10" x 10"

This is for a Quilt Basket give away at guild (which I'm not a member of?)  42 finished quilt blocks, ready for the winner to put together.

I've not done other's quilt patterns in a long time. This one????
I know it's all about the charm 10" squares, but...
I could do rotary cutting in not much time and be done !
But, it's always a good workout for the mind, RIGHT?

Find of the Flea Market Sail Boat Quilt Blocks

In Texas we went to a flea market and look what I found
just laying on a table.

Sail boat quilt blocks
I took all of them

Sail boat quilt blocks

They fit in my suitcase just fine

Sail boat quilt blocks

I washed them by hand, hope you can
see the dirt that was in them. I always wash EVERYTHING
after I purchase it.

All the blocks lined up on my drying rack

They are all cotton, with backgrounds of muslin

And a few have the points cut off on the triangles,
I think that's what I like best !

Grand # 4's Baby Blanket

We have a new arrival on HIS way and Big Brother
(Grand #3) is asking,
"Will he get a BB too?"
This may have more to do with sharing his  than worrying about brother......

Baby Boy Quilt in Blue, Yellow and Brown

Well, Grand #4 is getting his own, and Grandma is JUST about finished. I'm sorry but I didn't picture the process, I'm a bit on over drive.
Baby Boy Quilt in Blue, Yellow and Brown

It's a classic pattern and has great color. This quilt is really about the color of the paisley brown working with the other colors in the quilt. I love this paisley and wanted to use it.
Baby Boy Quilt in Blue, Yellow and Brown

The quilt backing is the color of the yellow - tan strips with strips pieced in from brothers new BB he received for Christmas.
Baby Boy Quilt in Blue, Yellow and Brown
Let's see if he notices.  I"m betting he does !
