Little Pink Quilt in Log Cabin Pattern

Little Pink Quilt, machine pieced and hand quilted.

The quilt finished to a size of 7" x 7".

Using cotton batting and all hand quilted.

The white thread pops on the green fabric.

The quilt back. I think sometimes the backs are beautiful without the fronts.

Little Blue and Yellow Nine-Patch Quilt

When the box was out a few weeks ago, I noticed these great colors. So yesterday I spent sometime sewing.

Basic 9 patches, set on ends. I did it in strip piecing, cutting them 3/4" wide.

The finished quilt is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".

I have been doing a lot of little things, I have a huge project to start, I think I'm procrastinating a bit??

Valentine Hearts Quilt Table Runner

On a Whim...

I moved into my sewing room and took out "The Box" all the odds-n-ends, they are just to good to throw away. So I'm making a different kind of Valentine.

After finishing the table topper, I wanted to use red but a bit different.

I chose a green with red flowers and a red paisley.

Red is cut 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Green is cut 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Green is 2 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Sew the Red to the Green square 1 1/2 x 1 1/2", then add the 2 1/2 x 1 1/2"

Cut Squares 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Sew to the ends and trim to 1/4" all around

Ready for batting, backing and some quilting.

Red Table Topper Using Quilt Squares

I'm finished up my projects, this is a table topper, all hand quilted.

I was asked yesterday, via e-mail, "How do you get some much done?"

I'm a list maker, always have been.

And I a lot time to everything. I learned this from a book??? I know, me and the books.

It's by Chet Holmes, "The Ultimate Sales Machine" not a title you'd think a quilter would go for, but very good with my time management, I needed it. I'd spend days in my studio and NEVER come out.

So, on my list, finish this one, and I can start a flower quilt for a class and a book.

I'm still working on the "Little Quilt Ladies" Series (C), and they are looking good.

But the next one, the flower one, "OH BABY" I like !

Hand Quilting Finished, Little Heart Quilt

I finished one of my little quilts, it measures 8" x 8".

I love the back of hand quilting, the texture the quilting gives the fabric.

Quilt for Christmas for Son and Daughter-n-law

The second quilt I did, this one for Son #2 and wife

for the holiday.

I decide that we are nuts with gift giving and had to simplify.

Doing 2 queen size quilts was nuts of me to do, I pieced them,

sent out to have machine quilted and I did the binding,

took pictures and shipped. I'm rethink this plan for next year.

The front side - it's a queen size on my king bed.

I like to hand sew the binding down, just looks nice.

When they said, "Yellow" for the back I was not sure, but, oh my, I like.

They gave me a picture of a quilt out of a magazine and I just did my thing. The best is hearing that they remember what some of the front pieces of fabric are from, old quilts, baby quilts etc...
