Bias Tape is NOT hard to make, you will need
2 Straight Pins
1 Piece of fabric cut 1" x 3" approx - Holding Strip
The strip you will make into bias tape, I cut mine large to show, normal cut will be
3/4" to 1 1/4" wide.

Lay your started binding down, press side up.
Take your Holding Strip and lay on top, Pin into your ironing board cover next to the bias tape.

I like to roll mine to keep it until I'm ready to use it.

No need to buy a machine to do this for you ! But, you can if you like !
and Little Quilt Ladies Quilt Patterns
That's such a clever trick. I've been wondering about getting one of the machines but couldn't justify the cost or having another thing to store in my tiny craft space. I'll be doing this from now on. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've always sewed but am new to quilting and I've always made my bias tape this way! Never knew there was a machine that would do it for you !!!
ReplyDeleteA tape measure, or measuring tape is a type of hand tool typically used to measure distance or size. It is like a much longer flexible ruler consisting of a case, thumb lock, blade/tape, hook, and sometimes a belt clip. A tape measure will have imperial readings, metric readings or both.https://waltherstrong.com
