Monday Hand Quilting a Quilt

I hand quilt on Monday's at my quilt group, 

I'm heading around the third corner 

I don't like taking my sewing machine to group, I like walking up and when/if I take the machine, I have to drive. 

This was is my beginners quilter class, the class is

 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" squares,  

 I did it as 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" squares.....just me !

Piecing a New Star Quilt

Just getting started on a new quilt, A little bit him and a little bit me,

This is as far as I made it last night. Husband was gone and didn't leave my sewing room, didn't go to yoga, needed some "ME" time.

Picturing Quilts Before Shipping

Our Son's and Daughter-n-Law's received quilt gifts this year.

They were in NEED, I worked for months on them and had shown just bits and pieces as I made them. 

But, they have been opened and now it's my turn to share them. I take LOTS of pictures before a quilt leaves the house, I'm always in need to quilt pictures.

All are machine pieced and hand tied, with 2 layers of quilt batting in each and full size. 

 Two blue quilts to one house

Two yellow to the other.

We took the pictures on Dec 2nd here in Florida and as you can see, it was HOT out !

What I'm Quilting on Monday's

This is my class quilt from when I was teaching .This here is 1 inch squares, the class used 2 inch squares finished size.

This is machines pieced and at my group now I'm hand quilting.

In the class you learned cutting, piecing, hand appliqué and putting it all together. An 8 week class.

Holiday A Quilting on my Dining Room Table

Happy First Day of Fall and I'm 

getting a quilt tied today.

I take over the dining room and leave the quilt and supplies there until it's finished.  Plus the television is just out of the picture. I recorded the Roosevelt's last week on PBS, so I have over 8 hours to watch !

I HAVE to get a new light above this table this one......I....just don't like. When I see it in a picture....AHHHHHHH

Quilt Binding Day

Hand stitching binding down today, last step and MY least favorite. But so...worth it. 

I'll share quilt pictures 2015. It' the pattern of the month quilt.  A HUGE check off my to do list! Happy Wednesday.
