TIP:
When cutting your corners and side triangles, I always cut them 1/2" to 3/4" larger then needed. Fabric does not stretch and I just cut it down.

With smaller blocks:
Use the same 1/4" seam allowance you always do.
After sewn, cut the seam allowance down.

I like to press my seams on the center row to the outside,
and the top/bottom rows to the inside. This is the way, I like to do it, but as long as they are opposite?? it's all good.

I pin everything, again, use a 1/4" seam allowance
and cut it down or in half.

Cut 1/4" Seam Allowance Before Borders Added

After your quilt blocks are sewn together, check and make SURE your seam allowance is 1/4"

These quilt blocks are set on point and I always cut "offsetting" triangles bigger and I MUST cut to a 1/4" seam allowance.  Doing this your border will be easier to sew on, as points will not be cut off and the seam will be straighter.

Just one of the Many Quilter's Tricks !
