I was recently asked about this quilt.

The topic was brought up about colors, styles and patterns. Quilter's color is fun, color does not have to always be matching, Try something new ! ! You will love it.
I don't think, I think outside the box,
I think I do what I like and when I like it, that is all that matters.
I made this to be washed all the time, it's the couch quilt.
It's machine pieced and hand quilted, with pearl cotton thread, so the stitches are a bit bigger, but not huge.
It's a very simple log cabin style pattern.
The plaid fabric is from a gift I received and the paisley is just what I like.
I cannot say, this enough, Don't over think a Quilt, do it !

ReplyDeleteI agree with you about over thinking a quilt. Sometimes your best ideas are simple and can come from just looking over your stash, picking out the fabrics that jump out at you and using your favorite pattern.
I love the plaid fabric on the paisley. I would have thought to use the two together. I may just have to try a quilt using the two.
